About Dr. Levitsky

Mark K. Levitsky, MD, is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who joined Premier Orthopaedics Associates in 2017. Dr. Levitsky earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadelajara and completed an Internship at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in Jersey City, NJ. 

He completed three residencies in three different specialties: one in surgery at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ; the second in Orthopaedics at Hahnemann University of Orthopaedics in Philadelphia, PA; and the third in Pediatrics at Shriner's Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. 

For over thirty years, Dr. Levitsky's practice has covered general orthopaedic care of conditions such as arthritis care, fracture care, joint replacement and trauma care. In 2017, the lnspira Health Network named Dr. Levitsky as "Physician of the Year" for his excellence and experience in patient care. 

Medicine became Dr. Levitsky's calling early in life. In high school, he worked as an orderly at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County in Salem, NJ. This experience led him to medicine. His lifelong passion for sports, peaked his interest in Orthopaedic Surgery.

In 1981, Dr. Levitsky returned to South Jersey with privileges at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County and Bridgeton Hospital. For ten years, Dr. Levitsky served as the Chief of Surgery at Bridgeton Hospital. From 1981-89, he worked for Inter­County Orthopaedics, and established Cohanzick Orthopaedics in 1989. In 2004, he transitioned from Bridgeton to the lnspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ.

Teaching and professional memberships keep Dr. Levitsky up to date on the latest treatments and surgical techniques. For the past five years, he has served as a Clinical Instructor for the lnspira Health Network's Orthopaedic Residency Program. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the New Jersey Orthopaedic Surgeons. (NJOS).

Dr. Levitsky's practice treats youth to adult patients in all aspects of musculoskeletal ailments, injuries and pain. In addition, he focuses on trauma and joint replacements.
