Fred McAlpin, III, DO, FAOAO, is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon and partner with Premier Orthopaedic Associates.
Dr. McAlpin specializes in arthroscopic shoulder surgery, knee surgery and sports medicine care. His practice in orthopedic care includes minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery techniques designed for athletes and non-athletes alike. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. McAlpin works with his patients to find relief from common ailments like arthritis, knee or shoulder injuries and fractures and sprains. He is also the Director of the Orthopaedic Residency program at Inspira Health Network where he teaches new doctors about Orthopedic Surgery and trains them on the important techniques of treating patients with orthopedic conditions. As the Director of the Orthopedic Residency Program at Inspira Health Network he is teaching future Orthopedic doctors the necessary skills required to provide high quality Orthopedic care and treat patients in the future.
Dr. McAlpin graduated from Ursinus College and earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Then, at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey he attended his internship and residency. Then he attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA for his Fellowship Training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
